What is User Acceptance Testing?
User Acceptance Testing (UAT), also called Beta Testing or End-User Testing, checks the acceptance of a product by the end user and establishes that a software solution works for the end user and that the system functionality is delivered.
This test method checks a system for its functional properties: does it behave as intended? Usability becomes measurable.
User Acceptance Testing confirms that a software is functional in real-world usage scenarios and is a standard process for web development projects. This testing method is a Black Box Testing method that simulates user scenarios in their application flow from start to finish through end-to-end (E2E) testing.
UAT focuses on the end user:
- Does the software meet system functionality from the user's perspective?
- Does the application work for the user?
- Does the software meet the user specifications?
